About Bob

... is an award winning, Canadian finger-style guitarist and the 2003 U.S. National Fingerstyle Guitar Champion. He combines an eclectic mix of contemporary finger-style guitar and traditional roots music with a warm vocal style, tilted sense of humour and down to earth stage presence to provide a refreshing performance experience for music lovers in general. Definitely not just for "guitar geeks".

Sample Performance Videos

Aside from providing you with a sense of my interaction with the audience, these samples also demonstrate that although my CDs to date have been primarily instrumental (Dr. Bob’s Acoustic Tonic is the exception), my live performances do incorporate a mix of vocal based and instrumental music.

I only mention this for those presenters who are frightened at the thought of presenting a strictly instrumental show. If, on the other hand, that is what you prefer, I am more than happy to accomodate that option. 🙂

Jack Semple

Jack Semple
Jack is simply one of the best all round guitarists I know. From rockin’ R&B and blues (his trademark), to solo new age acoustic (his album Qu’appelle took Outstanding Instrumental Album at the 2005 WCMAs), he covers all the bases.
