A late Merry Christmas (though, on the prairies, there’s still plenty of time for Happy Ukrainian Christmas). Thanks for the healing magic of your music and humour. Belated congratulations on receiving deserved accolades in Kentucky. All the best!

Bob – my name is Dave Cosco – friend of Jim Jarrell’s from his US Navy days – we have corresponded a bit in past and you have helped me out in my attempting to play some of your wonderful arrangements (esp some of you Christmas tunes). Curious as to what kind of tuner you use (if u use one at all). Thanks for all the great music – really like the arrangements and esp the chords u use. Dave

      Hi Dave. I’m using a Korg AW-2. (

I’ve also used the Peterson clip-on strobe. I really liked the tuner, but frankly I think it’s cheaply made and broke way too easy for the amount of money they charge for it. I have tried the Snark. A lot of people like them, but I found their response a bit sluggish for use on stage.

There are also a bunch of smart phone based tuner apps that people like and are much cheaper than a stand alone tuner. But I can’t use it them stage so have never bothered checking them out. But you might want to look at them as well.

      Hope this helps.

    Hello Bob

Just discovered you when I did a youtube search for Elmer Fudd -Vewy Vewy Qwiet. Your Silent Night is a gem! Thank you! There is a Mexican lilt (I’m not very musical and likely use incorrect terms), that just warms my heart.
Listened to Hark The Herald and Dune and Noodling. Well Done.
I’m going to have to get some CD’s!

      Thanks for listening.
